Ash Harrison

| Villkat Arts |

Resident Guest Tattoo Artist

“My art is a visionary representation honouring my gratitude & energy to the spirits of nature & our ancestors.”

If the piece below looks familiar, Ash’s Viking Axe design has been replicated hundreds of times.

Ash is known for his ability to make Nordic, Celtic, and Geometric pieces flow with the body, which is why so many travel to him from abroad for full suits and sleeves.

Historically trained in woodcraft, Ash is a master carpenter as well as a tattoo artist.

It’s no wonder his tattoos can take on the texture of stone, wood, or metal, considering his intimate understanding of natural materials.

Tattooing for Ash involves honouring the sacred by “being present in manifesting the best experience and design for clients.”

“In traditional handpoke or machine tattooing, I will be fully dedicated to the energetic process."

Ash’s dexterity with the needle also translates to his combat training.

Those who have been tattooed by Ash at a Viking festival may have seen him fighting in full historic combat gear before settling down at his tattoo station.

Ash runs his own Viking Age reenactment fight group called Njordan Jorfors.
